The Association for Arts and Crafts Development - 7 (ARIZ -7)
is an organization with fresh ideas and a
creative team. Through its activities and all its initiatives and from its establishment to date the Association has been
successfully pursuing its goals and ideas, including the preservation, promotion and development of traditional Bul-
garian crafts and the native culinary heritage of Bulgarian customs and traditions within the country and abroad.
Furthermore, the Association aims to support newly discovered talents in the fields of arts and crafts and encourage
creativity in young people and their peers with disabilities, to turn their interest to the national cultural heritage and
drive them to join Bulgarian traditions within the context of Balkan and global traditional and local culture.
The Association organizes various seminars, workshops, exhibitions and concerts to promote traditional Bulgarian
art. It takes part in thematic exhibitions, fairs and forums at national and international level, develops partnerships with
organizations and companies in the field of cultural tourism, sports and arts. Both independently and as part of joint
projects it carries out initiatives related to the training and education of young people, driving them to explore and
practise moral values and cultural traditions which have been preserved for centuries. The Association works on the
development of an attractive cultural tourism product and assists in the development of tourist packages, including
activities promoting the history and lifestyle of Bulgarian people. It also performs intercultural exchanges and supports
the dialogue between participants from countries outside the European Union in order for them to diversify and add to
their cultural relations. The Association searches and expands the opportunities for the popularization of Bulgarian craft
industry products and souvenirs by connecting commercial organizations, tourism companies and event organizers
with Bulgarian artists in the field of traditional crafts. It promotes the development of traditional cuisine as an attractive
tourist destination and encourages its introduction in the menu of restaurants, guesthouses and tourist complexes.
